First!

Basic black seems to be a popular layout,...

Hey.

I'm Tumbleweed, and i have been a lighting designer/director longer than I can remember.

People have asked me to post pictures of my shows, so im doing it in a place where everyone can see, not just people on myspaz or facebook or wherever.

So.. here goes.

I'm currently based in Houston, TX, and am semi-gainfully employed by The House Of Blues. I also have a small production company that specializes in dance, theater, and party lighting.

I usually work at HoB few days a week... When I do a show, I sneak in a few photos of things tha make me go 'oh, cool!'. Most photos are taken with a Sony Ericcsson cell phone. The only editing I do to the resultant pictures is I adjust the levels to remove some of the graininess that results from shitty cell phone pics, and, if it's crooked, I rotate the image so it's level.

Sometimes, I'll crop the picture, too, but most of the time, I don't.

One thing i hate about the phone camera is the color correction- it can't be turned off! i hate color correction! If a person on the stage is red, I want them to be RED on my camera! If the background lights are purple, I want them to be purple on my camera!

I'm going to get a better camera soon... First things first... I need a huge white backdrop for a dance show in April... We're going to reopen Al's Sweatshop and force the workers (my mom and sister) to crank out another 40'X18' drop.... heh

But, anyway... here's the first picture in the series- I call it The Satyr. The subject is a band called Satyricon, and the singer calls himself Satyr (he's the guy with the BC Rich Bich in the center)

Enjoy!
